Winning partnership playing for the region
Green services company Eaga will be rooting for Durham CCC in their 40 over clash with Notts Outlaws this Sunday (25 July) at Emirates Durham ICG.
As the Dynamos 2010 Clydesdale Bank 40 shirt sponsor the North East-based business will also be hoping its team progresses to the semi finals of the competition.
Operating at the forefront of the low carbon economy Eaga is a leading outsourcing business and one of the largest national suppliers of heating and renewable energy solutions. Through its nationwide network it is delivering programmes, such as household solar energy, at a scale needed to make a green living a reality.
Eaga, who teamed up with double LV= County Champions Durham County Cricket Club in April, will also help the Club manage its own carbon footprint as it continues to grow and enjoy on-field success.
Drew Johnson, Eaga Chief Executive, said: “We are thrilled to sponsor Durham CCC, the club has been incredibly successful over the last few years as it progresses on and off the field. Their meteoric rise from entering first class cricket in 1992 to current champions is outstanding and an achievement we can all be proud of in this region.
“In many ways our own story at Eaga mirrors this success. Since our inception in 1990 we have helped millions of households across the UK improve the energy efficiency of their homes and lower their fuel bills. We now visit more than 3,000 households every working day, and as leading outsourcing business can count organisations such as the BBC and all the major energy suppliers as our customers.”
In one of its latest developments Eaga is working with social housing providers to provide tens of thousands of their tenants with free solar energy systems.
Mr Johnson added: “This is just one of the ways we, as a North-East business, are helping to the shape the green economy of the future.”
Durham CCC Chief Executive, David Harker, said, “It’s great to have Eaga supporting us on the field as our shirt sponsor, especially as we aim to progress to the semi finals in the CB40. It’s important to us as a club to develop an extended relationship with our sponsors so we’re pleased to be working closely with Eaga, to benefit from their expertise, as they help us to reduce our carbon footprint. “
